Rinbaud has generally two modes. The first we get to see is a cold, ruthless side that takes no prisoners. He is shown time and again luring people close to him, making them believe he's oblivious, only to eliminate them quickly and thoroughly. He may go overboard when killing someone and shows no remorse for these moments. It's even believed that he may be incapable of feeling remorse or even attachment to those that try to get close to him. He even makes it so one of the Alphas that was paired with him was damaged so badly that the Alpha can only be eliminated over and over in a VR module, as it was the only place they could store him for Rinbaud's desire to kill him over and over again.
The second mode we see is one that is naive and even childish. He knows little about the surface world, having been in a laboratory most of his life. He doesn't understand how to do things, what might get him in trouble or what might not. He'll eat whatever is nearby, whether it's considered edible or not. When offended, he'll curl himself into his tail and refuse to be disturbed by anyone on the outside until he wants to come out. He shows jealousy and even pouts when he sees the one he cares about (namely Bai) even so much as talking to others, believing he is flirting with them. He goes so far as to take it out on the innocent recipient. For the few moments he's able to have the ability to speak fully, he is able to admit that he's emotionally hurt, but even then, shows his pain by shooting Bai with a gun in the VR module. But he also shows he's amazed by the little things.
